March 2022: EudraCT and CTIS Update

European Medicines Agency (EMA) updated the EudraCT homepage by providing the following update over the What’s New section on March 03, 2022:

It mentions that the EMA and National Competent Authorities (NCA) sent a round of notifications reminding sponsors of their responsibilities with regards to results posting. It also recommends sponsors to comply with the provided guidance document on results postings by looking for their sponsor name in EU CTR. A link for the tutorial on posting results is also provided.

EMA also uploaded the Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) – Technical requirements for optimal use over the What’s New section:

It provides a list of technical requirements recommended by EMA for users to make optimal use of CTIS. Some of the key requirements include:

  1. A Windows 10 pc/laptop with a minimum of 8 GB RAM
  2. Up to date virus scanner
  3. Use of only Chrome browser. If Chrome is not working, it is advised to clear the cache
  4. It is advised to not use multiple browser windows (tabs) as an account can be used by one user at a time
  5. If the user needs to log in to an additional account, it is advised to use a separate Chrome window (session) in incognito mode
  6. For better roles assignment synchronization, it is advised to log out and log in back if the roles are assigned through the login process
  7. Mac OS is not tested for use of CTIS

Along with the above requirements it also provides information on internet connectivity, speed, refresh buttons, software PDF viewer and Word to be downloaded.
